Dear members,
On 27 December 2008, Israel began its indiscriminate land and aerial assault on the civilian population of Gaza. This included the illegal use of white phosphorus bombs in built-up areas. More than 1,400 Palestinians were killed in three weeks, approximately half of them children.
One year after this massacre did something change?
Unfortunately nothing changed for people in Gaza. Most of the 1.5 million people in the territory are still struggling to rebuild their lives and their economy. Their are still living under blockade which prevents essential supplies of food, fuel and medicines from reaching the Palestinian people in Gaza and causing untold suffering.
On the other hand, this massacre has waked up a lot of people out of their ignorances. Israel’s horrific assault on Gaza resulted in a massive wave of action — with hundreds of thousands of people across the world protesting against the massacre and calling for an end to Israel’s impunity. We saw a sea-change in public opinion and upsurge in activism: People boycott Israeli goods and multinationals that support Zionism, Creation of the Russell Tribunal on Palestine, Goldstone report,...
With other words people became a lot more aware of what is happening in Palestine.
Other proof that people became aware is our group:
In less then one year, approximately 4900 people have join the group Boycott CocaCola to show their solidarity with Palestinian people by rejecting this company that support Zionism. I would like to thank all the members and also tell them that the struggle for justice continuous.
Don't forget Coca-Cola is vulnerable, because it is not a dietary necessity and that is also why they invest billions in publicity. If each member invite 10 friends we will be 49000 people.
This is also maybe the last mail that I will send you, when a group reach more than 5000 members it is impossible for the creator the send them emails. But info about the boycott and Palestine will be still send on the wall of the group.
At least the last thing I will ask you is: Invite your friend to join us and more important: use a few minutes from your time in one of these last days of the year, to tell your family, your friends, your children about Gaza, the children of Gaza, the orphans, the innocent people who lost their lives....
Best regards,
