Dear Friend of the Children,
Two years ago, you and I watched in horror as bombs began falling on Gaza.
352 children lost their lives. Thousands more were injured and saw parents, siblings and playmates killed. The children’s homes, schools and neighborhoods were destroyed. Most people have stopped thinking about what happened in Gaza two years ago—or what’s happening there today. But, I know that the children of Gaza are still very much on your mind and in your heart.
That’s why I’m asking you again to, please, send the most generous
year-end contribution you can to the Middle East Children's Alliance, so that we can renew support for “
Let the Children Play and Heal,” a program in Gaza to
help children cope with trauma and loss through arts activities, referrals to therapists, written materials for families, and training for mothers.I know you understand that hundreds of thousands of children are still living with the terrible aftermath of the war and the ongoing siege that deprives them of the most basic things in life.
MECA needs to raise an additional
$22,000 before the end of the year so that “Let the Children Play and Heal” will be able to reach thousands of children when the program resumes in January.
Your year-end gift now will provide hope—and real, lasting help—to the children of Gaza, their families, and their communities.
