The Libyan “Al-Marwa” ship, carrying aid for Gaza, has reached the Al-Arish Port, according to a port official.
Gamal Abdel Maksoud, the head of the port, said that the ship’s contents are being unloaded so that they can soon be transferred to the Gaza Strip.
Abdel Makshoud added that there are currently 22 commercial ships waiting to enter the Strip, but President Mubarak had ordered that the priority be given to ships carrying aid for Palestine.
He added that 17 activists, who arrived in Arish last week, will also enter Gaza with the aid through the Rafah border crossing.
